The 15th Kaunas Biennial, Life After Life, curated by Adomas Narkevičius, brings together over 30 artists to reflect on the conditions and moods of transition and uncertainty. 

 

In dialogue with the biennial's theme, a concept of compost was used to propose a materiality that is of plant origin and that would be biodegradable. In the main exhibition venue – Stumbras factory - linen felt rolls were used to create space partitions, as well as seating and other elements in space. Soft linen fabric created a contrasting atmosphere, put together with artworks and space itself in their rough and industrial nature.
